Extended Care

Extended Care is available for K-8 students before school (7 – 8:05 a.m.) and after school (3:45 – 6 p.m.). If a K-8 student is on campus during those times, they need to be scanned into Extended Care.

There is no fee for morning session; see below for afternoon care fees.

 

Fees

The Extended Care plan fee will be $150 per month, per student. If not enrolled in the monthly plan, a fee of $25 per day will be charged to the student.

No fees will be assessed for morning Extended Care (this is every weekday, including late-start Thursdays).

Fees will occur for the afternoon program beginning at 3:45 p.m. for elementary students, and 4 p.m. for middle school students. If a student is on campus at the above times, they will be required to scan into Extended Care.

 

Extended Care Afternoon Schedule

3:15     Middle school students arrive and begin homework, reading time
3:30     Elementary students arrive; quiet time – reading, homework, rest
3:45     Elementary students go outside (students go outside most days, even in winter; Extended Care follows the school’s weather guidelines)
4:00     Middle school students go outside, if homework is complete
4:15      Snack
4:25     Activities

  • Monday – craft
  • Tuesday – games, puzzles
  • Wednesday – guided drawing
  • Thursday – STEM activity
  • Friday – drama/theater/movie

Schedule for inclement weather:
3:15     Middle school students arrive and begin homework
3:30     Elementary students arrive; quiet time – reading, homework, rest
3:45     Quiet time continues with quiet activities: drawing, reading, puzzles, coloring
4:15     Snack
4:25     Activities – as indicated above

 

Policies

  • Enrollment is first-come, first-served, based on space availability. Staffing is based on a 1 to 15 ratio. The parent or guardian must complete all of the enrollment forms.
  • A fingerprint scanner will be utilized to check in/out your student for security purposes in both the morning and afternoon.
  • Monthly fees will be billed through FACTS at the first of each month, and daily fees incurred will be billed weekly.
  • Any child not picked up from school by 3:45 p.m. (elementary) and 4 p.m. (middle school) will be required to scan into Extended Care at that time. Please understand that this is for the supervision and protection of your children. Fees will be assessed and billed through FACTS accordingly.
  • If your child is not picked up by 6 p.m., and arrangements have not been made prior to that day with the Extended Care supervisor, there will be a charge of $15 per half-hour (billed in 1/2 hour increments), with a minimum charge of $15.
  • Students who are ill (e.g. fever, vomiting, etc.) may not attend Extended Care.
  • On half days, Extended Care services are only available in the morning. There are no Extended Care services on days when there is no school (including inclement weather days).
